Once a person has had their first experience with agoraphobia, they start fearing that it is going to happen again. And, their fear will feed on itself, too. It creates a vicious circle of fear, agoraphobia incident, more fear, another even scarier incident, even more fear, and on and on and on. If you try to talk about the way your phobia started, or why you think you have such a problem with agoraphobia, it does not help at all. In fact, it can make things worse, as it helps to reinforce your thought patterns for this phobia.
There is only one definite way to get rid of agoraphobia. You will have to deal with your thought patterns that trigger your agoraphobia and change them on a permanent basis. That's where we come in.
